The Problem With Nerf Guns

If you drop a bullet at the same time you shoot a nerf gun, they will hit the ground at pretty much exactly the same time. I think the problem is that when I shoot nerf things, I think I'm shooting sideways but I'm actually shooting slightly up. So it curves like the way you would throw a paper airplane.
