You Are a Not So Hidden Figure
I'm very lucky to have a mom who encouraged me to go into the sciences. Not everyone is that lucky. I didn't have examples of scientists who look like me when I was growing up. But now people do have those examples and I'm very proud to be an example for young black girls coming up. And hopefully there will be many more not hidden figures coming up doing amazing work in the sciences, but also in the more social side of things.
