Paul Meyer gives his verdict on Edmund King Lear's speech in Act 1. The actor must find the illusion of spontaneity while observing Shakespeare's metrical instruction. Alliteration is a gift to an actor too, as are bastardy and bassness. If you don't notice these rhetorical devices or scansion then you cannot ring these effects that I've spoken of.
