The idea is your prior's over time gets sort of cemented or rigidified as you get more and more evidence accumulating. The deeper, the deeper the more temporally extended, the less it's going to wobble. Of course, you don't want to just be fooled. I mean, like schizophrenia is a good example of where maybe the higher level priors are a bit wobbly. This is now we're sort of right at the edge of well-being territory.
