Charles starkweather's defence tried a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. Charles, however, hated being seen as crazy. Just like ted kazinski, a k a the unico, also members of the jury had been against his insanity defence. The trial was held in front of an all-male jury and heard evidence from 11 witnesses including two police officers who were present at the time of the murder. It is alleged that he killed seven people before killing himself on January 14th 2013.
