The Dialogue Between Interpretation and Truth
The pursuit of understanding in general always involves a some sort of dialogical confrontation with truth. Do you see this primarily as a normal feature of language or more more deeply as a particular feature of the biblical text message or purpose? That's a hard question for me to answer because of two reasons one I want to say yes about language in general but I'm worried that that commits me to something called a general hermeneutic which I've tended to avoid.
