As of december, the department of justice has charged over 700 people in connection to riot. So far, only a few people who've been sentenced have received prison time. The house formed a sub committee back in june with the goal of investigating january sixth and developing legislation in response to the capital attacks. They're also looking into why was the capital itself vulnerable to an attack like this? What are reforms that might be necessary to the procedures for counting the electoral votes that kind hof created this opportunity for uncertainty?
