CNN's John Sutter talks about the importance of a literacy rich approach to science. He says early research showed that students who were engaged in hands on, dominant approaches gained little knowledge. But when they did more reading and writing, he found there was a broad range of rich student gains. "We started calling our du talk read right approach in classrooms," said Sutter.
