The Cost of Reinforced Concrete
The Averlek Bridge in San Francisco was built with steel reinforced concrete. Ernest Ransom left the city soon after he completed it, thinking that his revolution of reinforced concrete would have a better chance out there. 99% Invisible is Sam Greenspan and me, Roman Mars.
