Introduction

Stefan Lauren Swordner is the author of a new book, we have always been cyborgs. The title captures two elements which he's trying to present: critical posthumanism and transhumanism. He says that both are more closely related than people recognize. And this has enormous implications for how we should deal with emerging technologies like gene editing or brain computer interfaces.
