The Role of Race in Genetic Disparities
There was an article that came out very recently in Journal of Pediatrics looking at Kawasaki disease and health disparities among black children. In San Diego County, if you are of Latino background, you're more likely to be missed for KD. The fault was really not that often on the parental guardian side. As long as they're staying at home, they're seeking medical care, they're just not being diagnosed.
