The Difference Between Analytical and Operational Computing

Analytics and operational computing are still different, even though many of our operational systems now require analytical data. Maybe there will be a point in future that our technologies are just so universal that it doesn't matter that i'm running a transactional system which requires a certain response time or work load. But as far as i can see right now, i think they have a delineation of responsibility, and that stes think about them as slightly different but yets insegrated.
