Depression Is a Disease Too. We Got to Stop the Stigma
Suicide often occurs in people with bipolar disorder between 11 and 15 percent. Many people have said that family members and friends are unsupportive because they equate clinical depression with quote unquote normal sadness or with an emotional state that's just going to pass with time. A lot of people with depression don't dare tell people because they realize they're going to be invalidated or they won't be taken seriously. We got to recognize depression is not a freaking choice, it's like any other disease.
