The Canucks have already given up so many assets could you afford to give up another one for a rental in a year where the East is so strong. The Penguins basically moved every single UFA they had except for Nick Jensen for futures or in the case of Orlov trade getting a first and then flipping it with Gustafson to get Rasmus Sandin from the Leafs. I'm sure the Canucks would have loved the Bruins 2023 first and in Kerfuss contract and whatever else it took to make that work right.
