A lot of traditional finance firms have a culture which scares away good technical talent. Don't let someone who's better at networking get paid more because they can negotiate more like pay Uh, quants fairly and then you know other things like not requiring that people wear suits to work all the time. A lot of these technical people don't want to have to dress up every day They want to go in and jeans in a t-shirt.
