The Inequality Debate

I did want to shock him by getting into his own arena. No, I'm not denying that there are concerns about inequality. What stares us in the face has to do with local government policy. We've got those very people that Benjamin disapproves of running the government. That's corny capitalism. And so he lamely responded by saying, yeah, yeah, I object to that too. But what is the alternative? The alternative is the profit and loss system. Prophets encourage risk-taking. Losses encourage prudence. But when the government steps in and protects companies from losses, then you have a screwed up system.
