The Impact of Being a Parent on Your Character

As a child it's very hard to accept that your parents are not good parents. I knew my mother was being horrible to me just continuously horrible to me for most of my kind of teenage years and I hated that. Writing the book enabled me to unpack it all and really understand it so on the negative side I think if you grow up in an environment which is very unstable where you don't have a sense that your parents will look after you then you don't think you really are loved by your parents.
