A film like this couldn't have been made until the c gi was ripe. I think that explains, to an extent, why it did win the best picture oscar. It's a rare example of saying that we don't se any more, not to go to martins corsese on one. But it was a cultural phenomenon that wasn't based on an existing intellectual property. That's something, i mean, that happens now with t v. We've seen it happen with bridgetornimo. And other netflick shows have had that same cultural impact, but you don't really see it with movies now,. Like avatar was probably the last, wasn't it?
