The New York Times is moving some of its sports journalists to other desks. The move will allow the paper to focus on business news, politics and culture instead of just focusing on sports. It's not a layoff but it does mean that you won't get as much coverage of your local teams like you would with an in-depth look at them.
The New York Times leaves its sports desk behind as it puts its might behind The Athletic.
