Sublimation is also a chemical term where you go from a solid to a gas without melting. I take this physical, this crude physical process and I elevate it to something that is beyond, that's transcendent. Through works of art, et cetera, intellectual activity, that could be the sublimated form of immortality. And it's even, you could think of Achilles.
