The Battle of Shanghai
After the Itzumo incident, Shanghai became a battleground. Not only was there terrible bombing, there was shooting right on the streets of the city. All throughout September, October 1937, Shanghai was just bombed mercilessly. The tide had turned against the NRA and Japan was proving to be too formidable a foe. Around October 24, though, the battle started to wind down.
