I was interested in reading how that trajectory kind of unfolded, which involved right a series of kind of peer review rejections of your early work. And so the kind of work you're doing on Monteverdi in the 17th century is unusual for its time but it's also not the works of feminine endings that made you so controversial. Can you talk a little bit about if it's not too painful, some of these rejections and what they signified and, and how that got you to work on later music and different kinds of music.
