Climate Science in the 1970s
Scientists and companies were not at odds on the issue of climate science in the 1970s. "It was just okay, how fast is it going to come? Can we do something about it?" says former Exxon scientist Marty Hofert. It's hard to imagine today, but scientists and companies weren't at odds over whether humans are contributing to climate change.
