By 1932, economic questions were an important feature of the French election that occurred in that year. Unemployment would also not be as pervasive of a problem in France as it was in other nations. The radicals and the socialists, both left-leaning political groups, would combine to form a comfortable majority. In terms of their actual policies and ideologies, they were not very radical.
