Scorpio Rising is better than Lucifer Rising, which is kind of the counterpart to Scorpio Rising. I don't think that Scorpio Rising isn't magical or influenced by Salamo or by Crowley. He explicitly described his magic lantern cycle films as subliminal and designed to affect the viewer in a kind of subconscious sub rosa kind of way.
