The Flag and the Cross by White Christian Nationalism and the Threat to American Democracy

The next book is taking America back for God by Andrew Whitehead and Samuel Perry to sociologist as well as Philip Gorsky. It's a really short book and an extremely helpful for understanding the political dimensions of white Christian nationalism. I don't talk about white Christian nationalism in those terms, but the same sort of authoritarian, anti-democratic, racist, sexist impulses. And we need to resist it with all the energy and desire that we have to see a truly multiracial democracy and a church that looks like Jesus.
