Taking Advantage of Dual Positions on the Ice

There are positions on the ice that are exclusively defensive like you're sitting clearly on the defensive side of the puck and those are those positions. Then there's play positions on theice that are exclusively offensive and that those are plays in which you know there you should be on the offensiveside of the puck. You only want to be jumping ahead of the winger when you're either getting the puck or the puck starts to advance up the ice clearly then you can jump ahead of them but you're kind of like you're an important cog to the wheel and you can't be leaving that player.
