The Legacy of Pythagoras
Pythagoras is an enigma in more ways than one. There are perhaps many different sides to his life and thought, sides that were carried forward by different groups of his followers in later centuries. It is quite possible that underneath the ascetic ways of life and the ritual rules, Pythagoras had more esoteric secret teachings involving numbers and harmony. We should definitely spend more episodes in the future talking about those mathematical ideas that his later followers were associated with. I'll see you next time.
