Is There a Problem With Graduate Admissions?
I'm 60 to 70% convinced that the financial incentives for the institution is a bigger driver than student quality. I seriously believe that there should be more stringent admissions criteria for a phd, or even a master's programme. And so i think that we have a philosophical problem in academi more broadly,. about the whole purpose of education and why and how it should be founded. That's one thing. And then i think the a p a is just straight up negligent on this cause. Like you say you care, but you don't actually put your money where your mouth is.
