Sally Kohn: I think it really resonates with me is like over the last, especially the last decade, plus we've really seen the costs of mitigation plummet dramatically. How does this study reframe our understanding of those localized costs? She says aerosols are co-emitted with CO2, accounting for them and the social cost of emissions fundamentally changes the mitigation paradigm.Kohn: Even if countries were to take a purely selfish perspective, that localized damage now has a number on it. It's very highly localized across all of these regions.
