The Importance of Being Authentic
I think there are quote unquote too many podcasts because people do it to like, so like, I'm going to make a ton of money doing this. The shows that don't have any listeners are the 20,000th sports show with dudes who are like, "We're going to get drunk and then we're going to talk in the garage" It took me years to realize this because people were like, how do I market myself or my show? And I go, well, I don't know. But what I was doing was not trying to treat this as a business for the first six years,. which ironically made it more popular than people who were.
