The Benefits of Ranked Choice Voting

In Maine, they use ranked choice voting within the party primary is for each party to choose their nominee. Alaska uses a jungle primary where all of the candidates run together from different parties. Fair Vote's preference is the Maine model to keep partisan primaries. But I think each state may end up having different preferences about how to implement this.
