Is Space Repetition Better Than Mass Presentation?

If you say space repetition is better than mass presentation and then someone asks you why, if you're not able to go into the hierarchy, then I don't know. What happens if you remember the generalization, but forget the parts underneath? Well, let's go back to that example. If you, every time you remember a chunk, what is being activated there? Like why, why is that chunk retained? What does a chunk look like in the mind? Oh, yeah. And why is it that you can retain, you can retain the outer part, but the stuff within it disappears? Can that even happen? Does that occur? I'm not sure. Maybe it's like
