Chelsea were just not good last season. And and I think that a weird thing is happening with people talking about Chelsea, which is not necessarily uncompelling, but just something had to be wrong. Everyone projected this team to be in the top four chase last season and they had been in the top 4 chase the season before. And then they were bad instead. That makes no sense.
