The History of Anti-Racism

The word racism itself really gets mobilized in a systematic way from the 1930s. A set of liberal thinkers, one is Machen's Hirschfeld, who's trying to understand the rights of Nazism in the Nightbird. The radical tradition tends to think about racism as a problem of unequal economic outcomes and then thinks about forms of state violence that are necessary to uphold those unequal outcomes.
