The Hard Thing About Climate Policy in Canada
A number of provinces did not support it, led by conservative politicians. But I actually believe that provinces should design the system that makes sense for them. Every economy is different. We're a very big country. We have provinces that have a lot of oil and gas. There are also provinces that have none. It's hard, but policy matters. You have to think about people. In fact, I fought quite hard internally to get it so all the money went back in a transparent way.
