Media Use and Engage in the Media in African Democracies?

South Africa and Kenya, for instance, are two examples. I think what makes them both mutually maybe reinforcing is that both of them have quite strong democratic systems. So those sort of comparisons or similarities make them good examples to group together when we want to look at how media use and engage in the media take place in African democracies. There, of course, in other countries like Zimbabwe, which is very close to South Africa geographically speaking, and within the southern region, but that has a very different sort of political system and media system.
