It is a bit paternalistic in a way because it's basically saying we'd love for you to be there when we're commemorating this sadness and this trauma that's been visited on your own religious community. They could even host and lead a service like that themselves. The Jehovah's Witnesses they reacted accordingly so they found this very disturbing. Also if you think of the history of Jehovah's Witness they were one of the persecuted groups during the reign of Hitler right, they were being put in concentration camps So they have a very violent history where the violence was put upon them but from current memory it's not present. It's still a current part of the Jehovah's Witnesses narrative.
