What Is Broad Spectrum?

In Australia, if you have an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen it has to be broad spectrum. This means that we have protection of the longer wavelength UVA as well. These longer wavelengths are good to protect against because they tend to be more responsible for deeper wrinkling and melanoma. If you're really prone to pigment, you might actually want to go further and have a look for a sunscreen that claims very high UVA resistance.
