The Treaty of Versailles Predicts Future Peace
It's five years to the day since the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and Sarajevo brought the world into unprecedented conflict. The Great War came to a close six months ago, but it's taken time for peace to be brokered. Many of those problems begin in the period immediately after the First World War. On the 28th of June 1919, at the Palace of Versailles near Paris, politicians are meeting to sign a document.
