Red state people regard blue state america as a not serious. The idea of sort of separating this map into separate countries or something is also not serious. You simply don't have the level of democratic energy of like, popular perned and feeling of the right to participate in power that you had in the 19 thirties on any western country. That means that you need to design a political machine that does not run on that level of violent engagement. But it also means that if you design one that runs on thatlevel of violent engagement, there's nothing to be worried about because,. you're not going to get it.
