John Krakauer develops the story further. The hunters who found Chris's body had declared that the moose he'd hunted was actually caribou. So people heard that it was in the story and were like, oh my God, this guy knows nothing. He learns the hunters were wrong. These are moose hunters. They were wrong. Chris was right. This redeems Chris a little bit. And when the book comes out, it calls Corrine's relationship with her parents, quote, "extremely good"
