The Counterfactuality of AI
We have missed out on potentially world-changing technology because of irrational fears about the dangers. I find it maddening to do so some of the doomsday scenarios that are written about and talked about uh about AI. Even if we assign a sufficiently intelligent artificial general intelligence what they call a super intelligent machine you would have something that could more or less work to achieve any arbitrary goal, like genies in folktales. And there are then these kind of fantastical stories told about how we wouldn't be able to guard against any of this no matter how much we know.
