Seder lived with a chicago street gang for a number of years. He was able to get a copy of the actual financial records, the books that the streaking had kept. That was a kind of information no one had ever seen before. So i learned so much from the project. It changed my perspective and i became a big believer in that kind of what you would call ethnographic approach. Do you think other economists should take that approach?
