The Social and Political Environment of Fylo
During his lifetime he was very well regarded and he was one of just a few emissaries sent to Rome to represent the interests of the Jewish people in Alexandria when they were under attack in 38 CE. So that's definitely a lot of his social and political environment. I don't think you're curious about his methods of biblical translation or not a translation interpretation. Could they be recognized as a form of Midrash? I mean we have a lot of early Midrashic texts which form part of the Rubeni canon and especially the Halakhic Midrashis quite early.
