The Mechanisms of Happiness in Psychology
There may be mechanisms for some of these things, but I'm not too sure whether or not the mechanism for all of these things must come down to an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere at any given time. Different people might have different standards for feeling precise in the same way. Some people could just be trapezimous and some people could be optimists. And that could be because of what they know about reality as well.
