Are You More Likely to Ask Sensitive Questions?

The experiment was done in person, face to face with more than two hundred and fifty students at the university of pennsylvania. The researchers suspected they would be more willing to ask sensitive questions if the respondents thought the computer had done the picking. We actually didn't find that. And so this reluctance to ask sensitive que tions is robust even to a manipulation where we kind of absolve you of the responsibility for asking the questions. This suggests that you're actually quite worried about how comfortable your partner is, rather than completely selfishly worried about whether it's going to reflect badly on you....
