The Importance of Legal Protection for Gay People and Lesbians

When decriminalization of homosexuality happened, there was a fair bit of resistance from multiple bodies including government. By giving that verdict, what the honorable Supreme Court has done is that it has allowed nearly 10% of the population of India to live a more fulfilling life. And I'm hopeful that by allowing this gay marriage proposal also, we will keep it safe and take it forward. What I believe is we all have to grow. We all have to move forward.
