It's not the origins of the universe and the Trinity as separate issues that are similar. The father of eternal being needs to be this static eternal timeless nature that grounds all things, but we also need him to be able to be the son who acts outside of his timeless nature for whom all things were made. And it's that paradoxical Trinitarian union within us that enables us to make free choices.
