Is There a Shortage of Oil in the United States?

The oil industry in the United States right now is sitting on 7,000 drilling permits that they've had for several years. And if Joe Biden got behind a massive increase in domestic oil production, I think you would see it would kind of fly in the face of anything that Republicans are trying to do. If we could localize our entire oil economy, we could get off the OPEC price. But you know, it's going to take government to do that. It's not something that's going to happen as the result of some oil companies getting religion tomorrow morning.
